NICU or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit refers to the specialized intensive care which provides care for premature newborn infants. A Level III classification implies that our NICU is focused on advanced care, which includes the care of extremely premature, low birth-weighted and critically ill neonates. The most premature babies admitted to our NICU were merely 26 weeks old, weighing 876g and 27 weeks 5 days old, weighing 650g, and both the babies managed to make a healthy recovery.
